Placenta encapsulation is the process of preparing the placenta after the birth of your baby. The placenta is cleaned, steamed, dehydrated, powdered, and placed into capsules for the mother to ingest.
Our certified encapsulator will pick up your placenta during daytime ours between 8am and 9pm or can being taken by your doula after your birth. The entire process typically take 24-48 hours and everything is done in a safe and sterile environment. Once the capsules are completed then your pills and instructions are dropped off with you.
Placenta Encapsulation Eligibility & Refund Policy
For the safety of our clients and encapsulation specialists, certain medical conditions may prevent us from being able to process a placenta.
In cases of chorioamnionitis during pregnancy, we are unable to encapsulate the placenta and a full refund will be provided.
Some providers may recommend avoiding placenta consumption for specific conditions, such as Group B Strep (GBS). However, GBS alone does not prevent us from safely processing the placenta. The final decision regarding consumption should always be discussed between the client and their healthcare provider.
Because placenta encapsulation services require on-call availability, preparation, scheduling, and reserved processing time, refunds are not provided for other medical recommendations, personal preference changes, or decisions not to consume the placenta after birth.
Tinctures can be used once your capsules are gone if you feel you still need the the support with mood, energy, milk supply, postpartum mood disorders, etc later on postpartum.
It can also be helpful for PMS symptoms once your menstrual cycle returns postpartum, and some women even use it to help alleviate menopause symptoms in the future. It can be very helpful to have this back up even on hard days when you just need a pick-me-up. The benefits of your placenta can be extended for a long time, even once your capsules are gone, with a tincture!
